Four members of iSISTAQUIT attended the Australian Professional Association of Alcohol and Drugs Conference (APSAD) in Adelaide in November. The theme for the 2023 Conference was Unity In Diversity – diversity in client groups and diversity in professionals and community members who have a common goal of improving outcomes for people who use alcohol and other drugs. The iSISTAQUIT team presented findings from their project relating to yarning circles with health professionals and community members, the social media campaign, feedback regarding the iSISTAQUIT training, and lessons learned from their implementation trial. At the APSAD Conference, Birthing on Country Project Manager Kym Yuke received the APSAD Mentor Award on behalf of Gillian Gould.
