7. iSISTAQUIT Partnership Packages
The iSISTAQUIT package supports health services to help pregnant women quit smoking/vaping. It is a best practice, evidence-based strategy co-designed with Indigenous communities. iSISTAQUIT provides practical and effective support for pregnant women of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander babies and for health professionals providing antenatal care in Aboriginal Medical Services (AMS) and mainstream services. The iSISTAQUIT Ngurrajili (Scale-Up) project aims to implement the iSISTAQUIT program Australia-wide. Health services can choose to sign up from three partnership package options as pictured below.
All 3 options include the standard package which consists of 15 online learning modules taking approximately four hours to complete. The training is self-paced and includes videos, text, and interactive elements, supported by hardcopy resources. Completion of pre- and post-training surveys are a part of the online learning and qualify for professional development points. Health professional’s (HP) complete the ABCD software questionnaire with pregnant women through the Pen CS TopBar app (compatible with Medical Director, Best Practice and ZedMed) or through the Communicare iSISTAQUIT clinical item system. The ABCD template guides the HP through the clinical consultation with the patient and provides an opportunity for the completion of a Quit Plan. Options 2 and 3 have an additional ‘Boost’ component including the facility to either adapt some of the iSISTAQUIT hardcopy resources to local context (e.g., health service logos or pictures/language to local context) or Hybrid Training model (e.g. iSISTAQUIT trains your trainer or facilitates group online training).
